Who We Are

Founded in 2001, the Colorado Literacy and Learning Center was established to support children and adults with dyslexia and related learning disabilities. The organization also served as a hub for professional development, equipping educators and specialists with the tools to better support learners with diverse needs.

In 2022, the organization adopted a new name, the Colorado Dyslexia Foundation, to reflect a broader mission. This change marked a renewed commitment to not only providing direct services but also advocating for individuals with dyslexia through education, outreach, and systemic support.

Today, the Colorado Dyslexia Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, continues to empower individuals with dyslexia and their families, while advancing awareness and understanding across communities and educational systems.

Our Philosophy

We have a vision to build a community where all individuals, including those with dyslexia, are able to reach their full potential, thereby benefiting themselves and the community at large; a nationally recognized center for professional development in research-based methods of reading instruction. We strive to provide a community resource for the diagnosis and remediation of literacy challenges while serving as a center for professional development.

Professional Development

We offer various professional development courses to equip teachers to help those struggling with literacy.
