Comprehensive evaluation to determine the presence of learning disabilities as defined by the American Psychiatric Association. Results provide sufficient evidence to diagnose dyslexia according to the guidelines set forth by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA).

Clients are evaluated to establish a learning profile which includes the following:

  • Cognitive Ability
  • Oral Language Ability
  • Written Language Ability
  • Visual and Phonological Processing
  • Computational Skills
  • Fine Motor Skills
  • Screening for AD/HD may be recommended

Schedule

  • Approximately three hours of one-on-one, in-person testing. This can be scheduled over two days if needed.
  • One-hour follow-up consultation (via call or Zoom) to review report, including scores, interpretation, diagnosis (if found), and recommendations.

Important Information

  • The diagnosis provided by the Full Comprehensive Evaluation is required for many schools to begin utilizing academic resource interventions (SPED, 504, MTSS).
  • A diagnosis may meet requirements for extended time on college entrance exams (ACT, SAT) and graduate exams (GRE, LSAT, MCAT, etc.) along with extended time for assignments and tests.
Lynne Fitzhugh

Lynne Fitzhugh, PhD, CALT-QI

Lynne holds a doctorate in psychology and is Senior Lecturer and director of the Master of Arts in Teaching – Dyslexia Specialist at Colorado College. Dr. Fitzhugh is past President of the Academic Language Therapy Association Charitable Foundation and past president of the Academic Language Therapy Association. She currently serves as a representative to the National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities and is a former board member of the International Dyslexia Association and the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council. An expert in dyslexia and related learning disabilities, she has been a featured speaker at both local and national conferences.
